Jim Shaw delivers a speech to the crowd after receiving the White Tricorne Hat Award during Lexington’s Patriots’ Day 2022.

LexMedia is thrilled to announce that our Chairman of the Board, Jim Shaw, received this year’s White Tricorne Hat award from the Lexington Lions Club.

The White Tricorne Hat Award, Lexington’s Outstanding Citizen of the Year, has been presented annually on Patriots’ Day since 1954. A judicial committee reviews the candidates; representatives from the Lexington Lions Club, Lexington Clergy Association, Lexington Rotary Club, Lexington Chamber of Commerce, Lexington Lodge of Elks, and the Lexington Historical Society, as well the two most recent recipients of the award are voting members of the committee.

The winning candidate best demonstrates a dedication to the principles of outstanding leadership, and has advanced the American way of life in Lexington by giving unselfishly of his or her time and talents over the years, beyond the normal bounds of his or her normal occupation. Candidates are selected through nomination; Jim was nominated by his brother, Chuck.

LexMedia is incredibly proud; Jim is an inspiring and enthusiastic member of our community – congratulations!
